The book was shortlisted for the ReLit Award for poetry. The designer, Jamis Paulson at Turnstone Press, was shortlisted for the Manitoba Book Award for Book Design.

Design

The book features a section with perforated pages. Readers are encouraged to rip the book up and draw pictures in it, making the poem interactive. My observation has been that few poetry readers have been willing to do so!
